화승, 부산박물관 지원 기부금 1억 원 전달..."전시·홍보사업 지원에 사용"

향토기업 화승이 부산박물관 지원 기부금 1억 원을 부산시에 기부했다.

기부금 전달식은 9일 오전 시청 의전실에서 박형준 시장을 비롯해 현승훈 화승 회장, 정은우 부산박물관장 등 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.

기부금 1억 원은 엘이디(LED) 전광판 설치 등 부산박물관의 전시·홍보사업 지원에 쓰일 예정이다.

현승훈 화승 회장은 부산박물관 개관 당시 부친인 고(故) 현수명 회장의 유지를 받들어 60여 점의 유형문화유산을 박물관에 기증하며 부산시민의 문화예술품 기증 문화 정착에 앞장섰다. 또, 2008년에는 부일영화상 부활에 힘쓰는 등 지역문화 발전에도 큰 역할을 했다. 현 회장은 그간의 지역 경제와 문화 발전에 대한 공로를 인정받아 2024년 부산시 ‘자랑스러운 시민상’ 대상을 받은 바 있다.

현승훈 회장은 “1978년 부산박물관 개관 기증자로 맺어진 인연이 46년이 흐른 오늘날까지 이어지면서 문화유산 수집의 즐거움만이 아니라 공감의 기쁨을 함께 누릴 수 있었다”면서, “이번 기부가 부산박물관이 시민들에게 좀 더 가까이 다가가는 데 작은 보탬이 되길 바란다”라고 전했다.
