【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=진천군은 (사)대한한돈협회 진천군지부(지부장 조성복)가 (재)진천군장학회(이사장 송기섭)에 장학금 300만 원을 전달했다고 9일 밝혔다.
이번 기탁은 지난 9월 지역 인재 양성을 위한 장학금 200만 원 전달에 이은 올해 두 번째 나눔이다.
(사)대한한돈협회 진천군지부는 2017년부터 매년 장학금을 전달하며 지역 인재 육성에 힘써왔으며, 장학금 외에도 관내 사회복지시설에 돼지고기를 기부하며 취약계층을 위한 나눔 활동을 활발히 이어가고 있다.
조성복 지부장은 “지역 학생들이 꿈과 희망을 펼쳐나가는 데 조금이나마 보탬이 됐으면 좋겠다”라며 “앞으로도 지역사회를 위해 다양한 사회공헌활동을 이어가겠다”라고 말했다.
송기섭 이사장은 “지속적인 나눔에 참여해주신 (사)대한한돈협회 진천군지부에 깊이 감사드린다”라며 “장학금은 학생들의 학업 지원과 복지 증진에 뜻깊게 활용하겠다”라고 말했다.
