이번 후원금은 지난달 개최된 가곡면민 한마음 체육대회 바자회 수익금으로, 주민들에게는 옷과 물품을 저렴히 나눔하고 그 수익으로 소외된 이웃을 지원하자는 취지에서 마련됐다.
안명숙 민간위원장은 “오랜 준비기간을 거쳐 발품과 열정이 필요한 일이 바자회”라며 “매년 하는 행사지만 협의체 위원들의 남다른 노력과 이웃사랑의 마음이 커 힘들어도 즐겁게 준비했다”고 말했다.
윤명선 가곡면장은 “가곡면의 대표 봉사단체인 지역사회보장협의체에서 항상 애정 가득한 마음으로 취약계층을 아끼고 보살펴 주심에 감사를 전한다”며 “전해주신 성금은 어려운 이웃들에게 큰 도움과 희망이 되도록 소중히 사용하겠다”고 전했다.
