【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자= 진천군 농업기술센터(소장 남기순)는 2025년도에 파종할 벼 보급종 종자를 오는 20일까지 읍면 행정복지센터를 통해 신청받는다고 9일 밝혔다.
관내에 공급하는 벼 보급종은 5품종 75.8t으로 △해들(조생종) △알찬미(중생종) △참드림, 삼광, 추청(중만생종)이다.
공급가격은 미정이며 2025년 3월 31일까지 신청 시 선택한 지역농협을 통해 받을 수 있다.
이번 신청은 도내에 배정된 품종과 물량에 대해서만 신청 가능하며 남은 물량은 전국단위 추가 신청기간(2025년 1월 2일~1월 31일)에 시·도 구분 없이 신청할 수 있다.
또한, 이번에 관내 공고된 보급종은 약제 과다 사용으로 인한 환경오염을 방지하고 소독효율 향상을 위해 소독이 안 된(미소독) 종자로 전면 공급되는 만큼 추후 온탕소독 후 약제침지 소독을 통해 종자전염병을 예방해야 한다.
군 농업기술센터 관계자는 “올해 관내의 고온다습 환경으로 인해 병해충과 수발아가 만연하고 자가채종 종자의 발아율이 저조할 것으로 예상된다”라며 “정부보급종은 발아율과 순도 검사 등 검사규격 통과한 엄선된 종자인 만큼 고품질 쌀 생산을 위해 정부보급종을 적극 활용해 주기 바란다”라고 말했다.
