【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=청주시는 상당구 중앙동 소나무길 상권 일대를 자율상권구역으로 지정 했다고 9일 밝혔다.
자율상권구역 내 상점은 온누리상품권 가맹 특례 혜택을 받게 된다. 또 충북도 주관 상권활성화 사업에 참여할 수 있는 자격이 주어져, 참여할 경우 최대 5년간 100억원을 지원받을 수 있다.
이외에도 지역상권 상생 및 활성화에 관한 법률에 따라 부설주차장 설치 특례, 상가임대차 계약 특례, 조세 및 부담금 감면, 건물 개축·대수선비 융자, 구역 활성화 조사·연구비 보조 등의 혜택을 받는다.
이번에 시가 자율상권구역으로 지정한 면적은 7만2천418㎡다. 기존 소나무길 골목형상점가보다 크게 확대돼, 소나무길 일원을 아우르는 쇠퇴한 원도심 상권에 새로운 활력을 불어넣을 기반을 마련했다.
앞서 시는 지난 3월부터 쇠퇴한 상권 회복과 지속가능한 활성화방안 모색을 위해 연구를 진행했다. 그 과정에서 가장 주도적으로 참여한 중앙동 소나무길 골목형상점가를 중심으로 지난 10월 조합을 설립했으며, 지난달 28일에는 충북도 지역상권위원회의 자율상권구역 지정 승인을 받았다.
