대전특수교육원은 9일, 조웅래나눔재단 조웅래 이사장 및 관계자 등 30여 명이 참석한 가운데 특수교육대상학생의 이동 편의지원을 위한 보조공학기기 전달식을 실시했다고 밝혔다.
이번 전달식은 대전·세종·충남 주류기업 ㈜선양소주 조웅래 회장이 설립한 재단법인 조웅래나눔재단의 지역상생과 나눔경영을 실천하기 위한 행사로, 특수교육대상학생의 이동 편의를 지원하기 위한 이동형 케어로봇 1대, 휠체어 9대 등 3천만원 상당의 보조공학기기를 기부하였다.
특수교육원은 조웅래나눔재단이 기부한 보조공학기기를 대전 관내 지체장애 학생 및 중도중복장애학생에게 대여하여 안전한 학교생활과 독립적인 일상생활을 지원할 예정이다.
조웅래나눔재단 조웅래 이사장은 “기부한 보조공학기기들이 학생들의 편의에 많은 도움이 됐으면 한다.”라며, “앞으로도 지역사회에 도움이 필요한 곳을 찾아 체계적이고 진정성 있는 나눔활동을 전개하겠다.”라고 말했다.
대전특수교육원 권순오 원장은 “우리 학생의 안전하고 행복한 학교생활을 위해 물품을 지원해주신 조웅래나눔재단 조웅래 이사장께 감사의 말씀을 드린다.”라며, “앞으로도 지역사회 기관과의 긴밀한 협력을 통해 장애학생을 위한 적합한 교육과 보조공학기기를 지속적으로 지원하겠다.”라고 말했다.
