[브레이크뉴스경기남부=성남 이현준기자] 성남시가 9일 세종대학교와 인공지능(AI) 첨단산업의 상생 클러스터 조성을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.
신상진 성남시장과 엄종화 세종대학교 총장 등이 참석한 가운데 열린 협약식에서 양측은 ▲인공지능 및 반도체 설계(팹리스) 연구 등을 위한 행정적 지원 협력 ▲첨단기술에 대한 우수한 인력 양성 ▲산·학·연·관 융복합 클러스터 조성을 위한 상생협력 체계 구축에 협력하기로 합의했다.
신 시장은 “성남시는 이번 협약을 통해 인공지능과 반도체 산업의 발전을 위한 행정적 지원을 아끼지 않을 것이며, 세종대와 함께 미래산업을 이끌어갈 인재를 양성하고, 지역 내 융복합 클러스터를 조성하여 성남시가 첨단기술의 중심지로 거듭날 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”라고 말했다.
이어 “이번 협약이 성남시의 첨단산업 발전과 지역 경제 활성화에 큰 기여를 할 것으로 기대된다”며 “앞으로도 산·학·연·관의 긴밀한 협력을 통해 혁신적인 산업 생태계를 만들어 나가겠다”고 강조했다.
