(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천 서구가 9일, 최근 청년센터 서구1939에서 2024년도 제2차 청년정책위원회 정기회의를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
서구에 따르면, 이번 회의 안건은 2025년 주요 청년정책 추진(안)과 2024년 청년친화도시 추진사항이며, 청년에게 더욱 실효성 있는 청년정책으로 거듭날 수 있도록 열띤 논의를 했다.
서구가 내년도에 추진할 12개 주요 청년정책 사업인 제2차 청년정책 기본계획 수립, 청년의 사회적 고립 해소 지원사업, 청년센터 서구 1939 운영, 청년창업지원센터 구축 등에 대해 정책위원들의 의견을 바탕으로 2025년 청년정책 시행계획을 수립할 예정이다.
또, 올해 추진한 청년친화도시 조성사업과 관련하여 청년 주도 청년친화도시 TF 구성 및 운영, 지역 청년 의견 수렴을 위한 청년 두더지 포럼, 청년친화도시 비전선포식, 서구 청년친화도시 비전 ‘YOUth GROW, WEst(서) GROW(구)’ 등에 대해 보고했다.
서구는 앞으로도 청년의 목소리를 귀 기울여 듣고 청년정책에 반영하여 청년의 성장이 서구의 성장이 될 수 있는 청년친화적 정책환경 조성을 위하여 노력할 계획이다.
위원들은 회의에서 청년들의 초기 자산 형성을 지원할 수 있는 금융교육 프로그램 마련, 사회적 고립 청년의 특성을 반영한 사업 추진, 더 많은 청년 창업가에게 기회를 주는 청년창업센터 구축 및 운영 등의 다양한 의견을 제시하였다.
위원회 공동위원장인 김경수 청년은 “이 자리에서 논의된 다양한 의견을 바탕으로 청년에게 실질적인 청년정책이 마련되기를 바란다”며 “서구 청년들의 더 괜찮은 삶을 위하여 청년센터 서구1939를 중심으로 일자리, 복지, 문화 등 다방면의 서구 맞춤형 청년정책이 추진되기를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

또한, 인천 서구 지역자활센터가 9일, 최근 인천아시아드 웨딩 컨벤션에서 ‘2024년 서구지역자활센터 성과보고 및 송년회’ 행사를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
서구에 따르면, 이번 행사는 2024년 자활사업 성과를 공유하고 자활참여자들을 격려하는 자리였으며송승환 서구의회 의장을 포함해 자활기업, 자활협업기관등 여러기관에서 참석해 300여명의 자활근로자들과 함께 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌다.
1부 행사는 문화체험 활동이었으며, 영화관람 후 2024년 자활사업 성과 보고 영상상영과 자활참여자, 자활기업 및 자활센터 종사자 등 자활사업유공자 22명에 대한 표창이 있었다.
2부 행사에서는 자활기업 등의 후원금으로 자활참여자 자녀 6명에게 260만원의 장학금이 전달됐다.
행사장에 자활 성공 수기를 전시해 자활근로 참여자들이 함께 자활을 통해 역경을 딛고 자립해 나갈 수 있도록 서로의 경험을 공유하며 격려하는 뜻깊은 시간을 갖었다
한편, 올해 서구지역자활센터에서는 시장진입형 5개사업단(청소, 카페(2개소), 청소박사, 가좌스토어, 연희스토어), 사회서비스형 9개사업단(두드림임가공, 엄마찬스반찬사업단, 도시농업, 도시재생, 카드배송, 청라택배, 검단택배, 회오리세차, 자원순환), 기타3개사업단(청년자립도전, 시간제자활, 게이트웨이) 등 총 17개 사업장에, 300여명의 자활근로자가 자활사업에 참여하고 있다.
또 올해 2월 인천 최초 편의점 자활기업 GS인천마전점 창업과 엄마찬스반찬사업단 등 신규 자활사업단을 운영하여 자활참여자에게 폭넓은 근로 기회와 자립할 수 있는 기반을 제공하고 있다.
특히 구 자활기금으로 9천만원을 지원받은 엄마찬스반찬 신규사업단은 통합돌봄사업과 다함께돌봄센터에 반찬·도시락 등을 제공하며 지역사회 돌봄에 큰 역할을 수행하고 있다.
2025년에도 서구지역자활센터는 카드배송 자활기업 창립과 또바기임가공사업단, 구립도서관 배송사업단, 제과사업단 등 신규 사업단을 운영하여 다양하고 내실 있는 자활사업을 수행할 예정이다.
이날 자활근로참여자를 격려하기 위해 참석한 강범석 서구청장은 “우리 모두 한번씩은 넘어질 수 있지만 이렇게 함께라면 다시 일어설 수 있다. 여러분이 다시 일어설 수 있도록 우리 구에서는 아낌없는 지원을 하겠다”라고 격려 메시지를 전했다.
