서울시는 최근 택시 운행대수가 소폭 증가하고 있는 데다 코로나19 여파, 경기침체 등 여러 영향으로 이른 시각 귀가하는 분위기가 이어져 올 연말에도 택시 수요가 급증하지는 않을 것으로 분석됨에 따라 작년 수준(목·금 심야시간대 평균 운행대수 2만4000대)으로 공급을 늘린다는 계획이다.
지난해 심야시간대 택시 영업건수가 11월 4만5756건애서 12월 4만9780건으로 약 8.8% 증가, 올해도 작년과 비슷한 수준(2024년 11월 영업건수 4만5638건)일 것으로 예상된다.
최근 서울 택시 운행대수는 일평균 4만5736대로 전년 4만5630대 대비 106대 증가, 심야(22~2시)는 평균 2만3105대로 전년 2만2175대 대비 930대 늘어났다. 연말이 다가오면서 운행량이 소폭 오르고 있는 것으로 분석됐다.(10월 3주~11월 3주 기준)
