사례집은 민관 협력을 기반으로 한 복지기동대의 활동을 통해 지역 복지 안전망을 강화하고 복지 사각지대를 해소한 다양한 사례를 도민들에게 소개하기 위해 제작됐다.
전남도는 2019년 전국 최초로 복지기동대를 출범해 지역 복지 문제 해결에 선도적 역할을 했다. ‘이웃의 어려움은 이웃이 살핀다’는 취지로 시작된 복지기동대는 취약계층의 생활 불편을 해소하고, 위기가구를 선제적으로 발굴·지원하는 민관 협력 복지안전망으로 자리잡으며 전국적 모범사례로 평가받고 있다.
복지기동대는 지난 6년 동안 22개 시군에서 약 17만 4천 가구를 지원했다. 전등 교체와 주택 보수 등 생활 편의 제공부터 위기가구 긴급 지원까지 다양한 활동을 펼치며 도민들에게 실질적 도움을 제공했다.
사례집에는 2024년 한 해 22개 시군과 297개 읍면동 복지기동대가 수행한 우수사례 44건이 수록됐다. 위기가구 발굴부터 지원까지의 과정과 민간 자원을 연계한 내용을 상세히 기록해 각 지역 특성에 맞춘 복지기동대 활동의 생생한 현장과 성과가 담겼다.
