[브레이크뉴스경기남부=화성 이현준기자] 화성시가 ‘2024년 아동정책영향평가’에서 우수지자체로 선정됐다.
6일 보건복지부와 아동권리보장원이 주최한 아동정책영향평가는 아동복지법에 따라 아동과 직·간접적으로 관련된 법령, 계획, 사업 등에 아동의 권리에 미치는 영향을 지자체가 자체적으로 분석하고 그 결과를 정책 수립 및 시행에 반영하는 제도이다.
올해 아동정책영향평가를 수행한 전국 211개 지자체를 대상으로 아동 대상 정책의 적절성, 이행의 충실성, 성과달성도 등을 기준으로 평가가 한 결과 17개의 우수지자체가 선정됐다.
그중 화성시는 취약계층 대상 찾아가는 아동권리 교육으로 차별 없는 아동권리 증진과 관내 100명의 아동으로 구성된 어린이청소년의회가 정책을 직접 제한하여 아동의 참여권 증진에 기여한 바를 높이 인정받아 ‘우수상’을 수상했다.
정명근 화성시장은 “이번 수상은 아동의 권리 증진을 위해 화성시가 펼쳐온 다양한 정책과 사업의 결실”이라며 “앞으로도 모든 아동이 차별 없이 행복하고 건강하게 성장할 수 있는 아동친화도시를 만들기에 앞장서겠다”고 말했다.
