브레이크뉴스 임국정 기자 = 야당이 5일 최재해 감사원장과 이창수 서울중앙지검장에 대한 탄핵소추안을 강행 처리했다. 감사원장에 대한 탄핵안이 국회를 통과한 일은 이번이 헌정 사상 처음이다. 탄핵안 통과로 최 원장과 이 지검장은 직무가 즉시 정지된다.
국회는 이날 오전 열린 본회의에서 최 원장에 대한 탄핵안을 재석 192명 중 찬성 188표, 반대 4표로 가결 처리했다. 서울중앙지검 이 지검장, 조상원 4차장, 최재훈 반부패수사 2부장 등 검사 3명에 대한 탄핵안도 각각 표결 절차를 거친 결과 모두 국회를 통과했다.
여당 의원들은 이번 탄핵에 반발해 표결에 불참하고 국회 본회의장 앞 로텐더홀에서 규탄대회를 열었다.
당초 제1야당인 더불어민주당은 비상계엄 사태 이후 윤석열 대통령 탄핵에 집중하기 위해 최 원장과 이 지검장 등에 대한 탄핵을 보류하기로 했다. 하지만 국민의힘이 '윤 대통령 탄핵 반대'를 당론으로 정하자 방침을 다시 바꾼 것으로 전해졌다.
앞서 민주당은 대통령 관저 감사 문제, 국정감사 자료 미제출 등을 이유로 최 감사원장에 대한 탄핵안을 발의했다. 또, 검찰이 윤 대통령의 부인 김건희 여사가 받고 있는 '도이치모터스 주가 조작 연루' 혐의에 불기소 처분을 내리는 과정에서 이 지검장 등 검사들이 제대로 수사를 하지 않았다며 이들에 대한 탄핵을 동시에 추진했다.
