고양특례시는 4일,‘2024년 복지업무 우수 동 성과보고회’를 고양시 44개 동 지역사회보장협의체 위원과 동 복지업무 담당자 등 약 160명이 참석한 가운데 성황리에 개최했다.
이날 최우수 동으로 고봉동이 선정됐다.
이날 행사에서는 복지업무 우수 동으로 선정된 11개 동의 특화사업 우수사례 발표와 심사, 우수 동에 대한 시상식이 진행됐다.

이어 민간위원과 복지업무 담당자 간 화합을 위한 문화 공연도 펼쳐져 참석자들 간의 소통과 협력을 강화하는 계기가 됐다.
‘복지업무 우수 동 성과보고회’는 2016년부터 매년 개최되고 있으며, 동 지역사회보장협의체와 복지 담당 공무원의 역량 강화를 목적으로 한다.
민관 협력 체계를 강화하고, 지역주민의 요구에 맞는 복지사업을 발굴하고 확산하는 데 중점을 두고 있다.
이번 최종 평가는 4명의 외부 전문 심사위원이 맡았으며, 심사 결과 ▲고봉동(최우수) ▲탄현1동, 원신동, 대화동(우수) ▲화정2동, 정발산동, 창릉동, 장항2동, 가좌동, 장항1동, 탄현2동(장려) ▲주엽1동(특별상)이 수상의 영예를 안았다.
이만수 고양시 지역사회보장협의체 위원장은 심사평에서 “동에서 요즘 복지의 이슈가 되고 있는 1인가구 고독사 등의 사업에 주력해 특화사업을 펼치고 계신 모습이 인상 깊었다”라며 “오늘 이런 자리를 통해 각 동의 우수사례를 서로 배우고 더욱 발전할 수 있는 좋은 기회가 됐으면 좋겠다”라고 말했다.
이동환 고양특례시장은 “시민들의 복지 향상을 위한 합리적이고 효율적인 정책을 지속적으로 추진하겠다”며 “꼭 필요한 곳에 더 많은 지원이 이루어질 수 있도록 최선을 다할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
