고양특례시는 장애인의 주거 편의 증진과 생활권 개선을 위해 ‘2024년 장애인 주택개조 사업’을 성공적으로 완료했다고 5일 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 등록장애인 가구 중 전년도 도시근로자 가구당 월평균 소득 이하의 소득 기준을 충족하는 주택 거주자를 대상으로 진행됐다.

주요공사 내역으로는 ▲안전바 설치 ▲욕실 미끄럼방지 타일교체 ▲휠체어 이용이 편리한 자동출입문 설치 ▲문턱제거 및 장판교체 등이 있으며, 상반기에는 4가구, 하반기 5가구 총 9가구가 지원을 받았다.
아울러, 고양시는 이번 사업 외에도 다양한 주거환경개선사업을 통해 시민들의 주거환경 개선에 앞장서고 있다.
난방비와 전기료 절감을 위한 에너지 효율을 높이는 집수리 사업인 햇살하우징, 만 65세 이상 기초연금 수급자를 대상으로 주택 내 안전시설 보강 및 주거환경개선을 하는 어르신 안전 하우징, 반지하 혹은 옥탑 등 열악한 환경에 거주하는 아동가구를 위한 아동 주거빈곤가구 클린서비스, 민간 자원과 재능기부를 활용해 취약계층의 주거환경을 개선하는 G-하우징 사업 등이 대표적이다.
이를 통해 올해만 총 78가구가 혜택을 받았으며, 내년에도 고양시 주거복지센터 블로그 및 행정복지센터 누리집을 통해 관련 사업을 적극적으로 홍보할 계획이다.
