[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 2024 부산 SK 텔레콤(telecom) 여자 플러레 국제 월드컵 펜싱 선수권 대회가 5~ 7일까지 금정체육공원 실내체육관에서 개최된다.
‘여자플러레월드컵’은 한국 펜싱이 세계적인 경쟁력을 갖출 수 있도록 기반이 된 대회로, 파리올림픽 종료 후 국내에서 열리는 첫 시니어 국제월드컵대회다. 국제펜싱연맹이 주최하고, 대한펜싱협회, 부산펜싱협회가 주관한다.
이번 대회는 2025년 세계펜싱선수권대회, 2026년 나고야 아시안게임 등의 시드 배정 포인트를 두고 국내 20명, 해외 150명 등 총 24개국 170명의 선수가 참가하며, 전 경기 무료로 관람할 수 있다.
