정치적 갈등이 폭발하고 있다. 이럴 때일수록 평정심을 잃지 말고 대처해야 한다.
절대다수의석으로 국회를 지배하는 민주당은 폭주기관차와 같다. 못 할 일이 없다. 마음에 들지 않는다는 이유로 판사, 검사, 장관, 방통위원장, 감사원장을 탄핵소추하여 직무를 정지시킨다.
멋대로 위헌적인 법을 만들고, 국가기관의 기본적 운영예산까지 삭감해 버린다. 행정부의 수반인 대통령은 정상적인 국가운영에 위협을 받는 지경이다.
이런 의회 독재는 우리 헌정사에 없던 일이다.
12월3일 선포한 비상계엄은 국정마비 위협에 대한 대통령의 반격이다. 그는 헌법절차에 따라 비상계엄을 선포했다. 그리고 국회가 헌법 절자에 따라 계엄해제를 요구하자 그는 이를 수용하고 즉시 계엄을 해제했다. 여기 까지는 모두 헌법질서 안에서 일어난 정치공방이다.
앞으로 충돌이 더 격화되어서는 안 될 일이다. 모두 냉정하게 이성적으로 행동해야 한다. 민주당도 대통령도 모두 헌법의 아들임을 잊어서는 안 된다.
질서가 무너지면 경제가 파괴된다. 국민은 절망과 고통에 빠질 것이다. 대통령과 여야 정치지도자들은 대국적인 차원에서 대화하고 소통해야 한다. 그리고 대타협을 이루어야 한다. 이는 국민의 명령이다.
