브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 더불어민주당은 지난 3일 밤 갑작스레 비상계엄을 선포했다가 6시간 만에 이를 해제한 윤석열 대통령의 탄핵 카드를 꺼내들었다.
민주당은 4일 새벽 국회에서 긴급 의원총회를 연 뒤, 윤 대통령이 자진 사퇴하지 않는다면 탄핵 절차에 돌입하겠다고 발표했다.
민주당은 결의문에서 "윤 대통령의 비상계엄 선포는 명백한 헌법 위반"이라며 "계엄 선포에 필요한 어떠한 요건도 지키지 않았다"고 지적했다.
이어 "이는 엄중한 내란 행위이자 안벽한 탄핵 사유"라며 "윤 대통령은 즉각 자진해 사퇴하라. 윤 대통령이 즉각 퇴진하지 않으면 국민의 뜻을 받들어 즉시 탄핵 절차에 돌입하겠다"고 말했다.
이재명 민주당 대표도 이날 긴급 의총 뒤 기자들과 만나 "한동훈 대표와도 아까 본회의장에서 얘기는 조금 했다. (탄핵안 발의와 관련해) 소통할 것"이라고 했다.
한편, 민주당은 조국혁신당과 함께 이르면 이날 윤 대통령에 대한 탄핵소추안을 발의하고, 5일 본회의에 보고할 방침이다.
국회법에 따르면 탄핵안은 본회의 보고 24시간 이후부터 72시간 이내에 의결해야 한다.
대통령에 대한 탄핵 소추안은 국회 재적의원 과반수 발의와 재적 의원 3분의 2 이상이 찬성해야만 통과된다.
전체 국회의원 300명 중 국민의힘 의원은 108명으로, 집권여당에서도 최소 8명이 탄핵에 찬성해야만 통과될 수 있다.
