KOSHA-MS는 국제 표준안전시스템인 'ISO 45001'의 기준 체계와 국제노동기구(ILO)의 권고 등을반영해 기존의 KOSHA-18001과 ISO 45001의 장점을 국내산업환경에 맞도록 개발한 안전보건시스템 인증이다.
산업재해 예방을 위해 유해·위험요인을 지속 제거하고 산업재해를 사전에 예방하는 안전보건경영 체계가 일정수준 이상인 사업장에 부여한다.
㈜서한은 이번 인증에서 현장의 안전 강화를 위해 노력한 점이 주목을 받았는데 이는 그동안안전 관리 강화를 위해 추진한 경영진의 의지와 더불어 이를 실천하기 위한 본사 매뉴얼, 절차서,지침서 제·개정과 전산시스템 도입의 영향으로 분석됐다.
아울러 상시 위험성 평가 정착을 위한 운영지침을 배포에만 그치지 않고 내부심사 및 반기별 현장 점검을 통한 안전보건경영시스템 작동성도 확인해 지속 개선해 나가면서 주목을 받았다.
㈜서한은 자율적인 참여를 통한 안전시스템 확립 활동도 눈길을 끌었는데 작업장 안전관리, 정리정돈 월간점검 시행 후 우수 사업장에 대해 포상도 진행하고 있다.
그뿐만 아니라 무재해 100일 운동과 냉3캠페인, 365캠페인 등 다양한 활동과 대표이사가 직접현장을 방문해 안전점검을 시행하고, 협력업체 간담회를 진행하면서 안전한 현장을 만드는 데 앞장섰다.

안전보건경영시스템(KOSHA-MS)은 작년 말 기준으로 국내 종합건설업체 중 단 24개 건설사만인증을 획득했을 정도로 까다로운 것이어서 이번 ㈜서한의 인증은 그 가치가 높다는평가다.
㈜서한은 이번 인증을 계기로 향후 체계적인 안전보건경영시스템 인증을 통해 선진 안전우수기업으로 성장하는 데 발판으로 활용하겠다는 방침이다.
