2024학년도 대입 전형이 마무리됐던 올해 1월부터 2월까지 두 달간 제주항공을 이용해 해외여행을 떠난 2005년생 탑승객은 총 1만3314명으로, 이중 가장 많은 9150명(68.7%)이 도쿄, 오사카, 후쿠오카 등 일본 여행을 선택했다.
중화권의 경우 홍콩과 타이베이, 동남아시아는 필리핀 세부와 베트남 다낭이 2005년생 새내기 여행객들로부터 많은 선택을 받았다.
제주항공은 일본이 새내기 여행객들의 선택을 가장 많이 받은 이유로 가까운 거리와 다양한 즐길거리, 교통·치안 등 잘 갖춰진 여행 인프라로 비교적 낮은 여행 난이도를 꼽았다.
