브레이크뉴스 임국정 기자 = 더불어민주당이 발의한 최재해 감사원장 탄핵소추안이 2일 국회 본회의에 보고됐다. 감사원장에 대한 탄핵안이 본회의에 보고된 것은 이번이 처음이다.
서울중앙지검 이창수 지검장, 조상원 4차장, 최재훈 반부패수사 2부장 등 검사 3명에 대한 탄핵소추안도 이날 함께 본회의에 보고됐다.
국회법에 따르면 탄핵안은 본회의 보고 24시간 이후 72시간 이내에 처리돼야 한다. 이에 따라 오는 4일 본회의에서 표결될 예정이다.
국민의힘은 "헌정 사상 초유의 정치 폭행"이라며 민주당의 이번 탄핵 추진을 비판했다.
추경호 국민의힘 원내대표는 본회의 직전 국회 본회의장 앞 로텐더홀에서 열린 '민주당의 방탄탄핵·방탄예산 폭거 규탄 대회'에 참석해 "감사원장과 중앙지검장 탄핵은 우리 헌정사에 전례가 없는 거대 야당의 막가파식 횡포"라며 이같이 밝혔다.
추 원내대표는 "직무의 독립성을 보장받는 헌법기관인 감사원장 탄핵을 최소한의 조사와 숙의조차 없이 속도전으로 밀어붙이고 있다"라며 "사드(THAAD·고고도미사일방어체계) 기밀 유출, 집값 통계 조작, 북한 GP(감시초소) 불능화 부실 검증, 서해공무원 피살 사건 등 민주당 정권이 저질러 온 국기문란 행위를 은폐하겠다는 교활한 속셈"이라고 주장했다.
이어 "검찰 지휘부 3명에 대한 탄핵은 이재명 (민주당) 대표, 문재인 전 대통령, 민주당 의원들을 수사하고 있는 검찰의 손과 발을 잘라내겠다는 것"이라며 "이 대표의 2심 공소 유지를 훼방놓고, 민주당 전당대회 돈 봉투 살포 사건을 지연시켜 보겠다는 얄팍한 술수"라고 지적했다.
