브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= KT&G가 소외계층의 따뜻한 겨울나기를 지원하기 위해 전국 곳곳에서 ‘상상나눔 On-情’ 활동을 전개하고 있다.
‘KT&G 상상나눔 On-情’은 연말연시 나눔 문화 확산을 위해 KT&G가 매년 진행해온 사회공헌 프로그램이다. 올해에도 본사, 영업기관, 제조공장이 적극 동참해 월동용품 및 생계비 지원, 주거환경 개선 등 다양한 나눔활동을 이어가고 있다.
먼저, KT&G는 지난 달 29일 서울 성북구 정릉동 일대에서 에너지 취약계층을 위한 연탄나눔 봉사활동을 진행했다. 이날 봉사활동에는 이상학 KT&G 수석부사장을 비롯한 구성원 50명이 참여해 연탄 6000장을 직접 전달했다. 올해 KT&G는 전국 각 기관의 나눔활동을 통해 총 5만 장의 연탄을 소외계층에 전달할 예정이다.
또한, 상상마당 춘천ㆍ부산을 비롯해 영업기관과 제조공장은 지역 내 어려운 이웃들을 위한 김장나눔 행사를 열고 총 5만kg 상당의 김장 김치를 전달하는 등 지역사회와의 상생에 앞장서고 있다.

한편, ‘KT&G 상상나눔 On-情’ 활동에는 KT&G 임직원들의 자발적 성금으로 모은 ‘상상펀드’가 활용된다. 상상펀드는 2011년 출범한 KT&G의 사회공헌기금으로 임직원들이 매월 급여의 일정 금액을 자발적으로 기부하면 회사가 동일한 금액을 더하는 ‘매칭 그랜트(Matching Grant)’ 형태로 조성되며, 국내외 소외계층 지원과 긴급한 사회문제 해결에 활용되고 있다.
