서울 강남경찰서는 29일 최민환의 성매매처벌법 위반 및 강제추행 혐의에 대해 조사한 결과, 혐의를 입증할 증거가 불충분하다고 판단해 검찰 불송치 결정을 내렸다고 밝혔다.
그룹 라붐 출신 율희는 지난달 24일 자신의 유튜브 채널 ‘율희의 집’에 ‘제목없음’이라는 제목의 37분짜리 영상을 게재했다. 해당 영상을 통해 율희는 전 남편인 최민환과의 결혼 생활을 폭로해 이목을 집중시켰다.
공개된 영상에서 율희는 “이혼 1년 전쯤 큰 사건이 있었다. 그때를 기점으로 결혼 생활이 180도 달라졌다”며 “육아로 힘들거나 다툰 건 괜찮았다. 대가족으로 사는 것도 즐거웠다. 그 사건 이후 그 집에 있기 싫고 괴로웠다. 가족들 마주하는 것도 힘들었다”고 밝혔다.

특히 해당 영상 말미에는 지난 2022년 7월과 8월 경 수차례 녹음된 최민환의 녹취록이 공개됐다. 녹취록에는 성매매 정황이 의심되는 대화를 다른 남성과 주고 받는 최민환 추정 음성이 담겨 충격을 안겼다.
논란이 커지자 최민환은 모든 활동을 중단했고, 지난달 25일 누리꾼의 국민신문고 민원을 접수한 경찰은 최민환을 입건해 수사해왔다.
