28일 포항시청에서 진행한 기탁식에는 (주)광양기업(5,173만 원), (주)광희(2,500만 원), (주)포렌(2,080만 원), (주)화인(1,500만 원), ㈜포스플레이트(1,480만 원), (주)동후(1,100만 원), ㈜태운(900만 원), (주)신진기업(620만 원) 등 8개 기업이 동참해했다.
또한 이날 기탁식에는 이광용 광양제철소 파트너사협회장을 비롯해 8개 광양제철소 파트너사 대표, 김재열 포항제철소 파트너사협회장, 광양제철소 협력소통섹션 박상훈 리더 등이 참석해 자리를 빛냈다.
이광용 회장은 “광양과 포항은 동종 업계를 품고 동반 성장을 추구하는 파트너로, 자매도시 포항의 발전에 기여하기 위해 파트너사 임직원이 뜻을 모아 고향사랑기부제에 동참하게 됐다”며 “이번 기부를 계기로 두 지역이 더욱 긴밀히 협력하며 함께 성장하길 바란다”고 전했다.
이강덕 포항시장은 “기부에 동참해주신 광양제철소 파트너사협회 회원사의 따뜻한 나눔과 연대의 뜻에 깊이 감사드린다”며 “이번 기부로 포항시와 광양시가 더욱 협력하며 지역과 기업이 동반 성장하는 새로운 상생 모델을 만들어 나가길 기대한다”고 말했다.
한편 지난 8월 포항과 광양제철소 파트너사협회 회장단은 고향사랑기부제 상호기부로 파트너사들의 기부 동참에 첫발을 내디뎠다.
이후 포항시는 광양제철소를 직접 방문해 파트너사를 대상으로 고향사랑기부제를 홍보했으며, 이에 대한 화답으로 파트너사들의 적극적인 기부 참여가 이어지며 양 지역 간 릴레이 기부가 활발히 진행되고 있다.
두 도시 회원사들의 릴레이 기부는 올 한 해 기업체 중심의 고향사랑 상호기부에 큰 기여를 했으며, 기업과 지역이 함께 성장하는 모범사례를 만들면서 지역 간의 지속 가능한 협력과 나눔 문화를 확산하는 데 앞장서고 있다.

Also, the donation ceremony was attended by Gwangyang Steelworks Partner Association Chairman Lee Gwang-yong, representatives of eight Gwangyang Steelworks partner companies, Pohang Steelworks Partner Association Chairman Kim Jae-yeol, and Gwangyang Steelworks Cooperation and Communication Section Leader Park Sang-hoon, who graced the occasion.
Chairman Lee Gwang-yong said, “Gwangyang and Pohang are partners who embrace similar industries and pursue mutual growth, and in order to contribute to the development of our sister city Pohang, the executives and employees of our partner companies have come together to participate in the Hometown Love Donation System.” He added, “I hope that this donation will be an opportunity for the two regions to cooperate more closely and grow together.”

Meanwhile, in August, the Pohang and Gwangyang Steelworks Partner Associations took the first step toward partner companies’ participation in donations through mutual donations for the Hometown Love Donation System.
Afterwards, Pohang City visited Gwangyang Steelworks in person and promoted the Hometown Love Donation System to partner companies. In response, partner companies actively participated in donations, and relay donations between the two regions are actively taking place.
The relay donations by member companies in both cities have greatly contributed to the hometown love mutual donations centered on companies throughout this year, and are taking the lead in spreading sustainable cooperation and sharing culture between regions while creating exemplary cases of companies and regions growing together.
