브레이크뉴스 임국정 기자 = 기사를 인용해 '국민의힘 당원 게시판' 논란에 대한 문제를 한동훈 대표 면전에서 제기했던 김민전 최고위원이 28일 기사가 잘못됐더라도 자신의 책임은 아니라는 취지로 발언했다.
김 최고위원은 이날 국회에서 열린 당 최고위원회의에 참석해 "제가 지난번에 어느 한 기사에 따르면 (한) 대표 사퇴하라는 글에 대해 고발하겠다고 하는 기사가 있었다는 말씀을 드렸다"라며 "그 기사는 존재하지만, 그 기사에 대한 책임을 제가 질 수는 없다"라고 말했다.
그는 "그 기자가 잘못 썼는지, 아니면 그 기자의 취재원이 잘못된 얘기를 했는지, 그것은 제가 알 수 없다"라며 "다만, 지난 최고위를 통해 명백히 밝혀진 것은 우리 한 대표께서는 고발할 의향이 없고, 준비하고 있지 않다는 말씀은 분명히 하신 것"이라고 밝혔다.
그러면서 "그 기사가 오류가 있다고 하면, 그것이 누구의 책임인지는 취재원과 기자가 가려야 할 부분"이라고 주장했다.
앞서 '친윤'(친 윤석열 대통령)계 김 최고위원은 지난 25일 당 최고위에서 당원 게시판 논란과 관련해 문제를 제기한 뒤 한 대표 및 '친한'(친 한동훈)계 인사들과 공개 설전을 벌였다.
그는 여기서 "국민의힘에서 '한 대표 사퇴'와 같은 글을 쓰는 사람들을 고발한다 이런 기사가 나왔다"라며 "만약 고발하신다면 저한테 무수하게 많이 사퇴하라고 하는 문자가 와 있다. 그 번호들도 다 따서 드릴 테니까 같이 고발해 주시길 바란다"라고 말했다.
김 최고위원이 발언을 마치자 한 대표는 "발언하실 때 사실 관계 좀 확인하고 말씀하시면 좋겠는 게, 그런 고발을 준비하고 있는 사람이 없다"라고 맞받았다. 김 최고위원도 "제가 기사를 보고 그랬다. 사실인지 아닌지 모르지만 그런 기사가 났다"라며 맞섰다.
