브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= LG유플러스는 ‘ESG 데이’를 맞아 대한적십자사와 임직원 참여 ‘U+생명나눔 사랑의 헌혈행사’를 진행했다고 27일 밝혔다.
서울 용산사옥과 마곡사옥에서 전날 열린 이번 행사에는 약 100명의 LG유플러스 임직원이 헌혈에 동참했다. 참여 직원들은 PASS 모바일신분증(주민등록증 모바일 확인서비스·모바일운전면허 확인서비스)을 통해 간편하게 본인 확인을 완료한 후, 대한적십자사의 헌혈 버스에서 안전하게 채혈 절차를 진행했다.
LG유플러스는 이번 행사를 통해 장기적인 저출산, 고령화 사회의 혈액 부족 문제를 해결하는데 기여하고 기업의 사회적 책임을 다할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다.
박경중 LG유플러스 대외협력담당(상무)은 “헌혈은 생명을 구하는 가장 소중한 나눔의 실천이다”라며 “LG유플러스는 임직원과 함께 꾸준히 사회적 책임을 다하며 ESG 경영을 실천하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, LG유플러스는 매월 마지막 주 화요일을 ‘ESG 데이’로 지정해 임직원이 참여할 수 있는 다양한 봉사활동 및 환경·사회 관련 행사를 지속적으로 운영하고 있다. 이를 통해 임직원들이 ESG 활동에 동참하며 나눔의 가치를 실천할 수 있는 기회를 제공하고 있다.
