이재명 대표는 이미 선거법으로 실형을 받아놓고 있고 위증교사도 겨우 1심 관문만을 통과했을 뿐이다. 여전히 첩첩산중이며, 줄줄이 사법 리스크다.
이재명 대표가 어제 1심 무죄를 받고 난 후 "정적 죽이는 정치 말고 살리는 정치 하자"고 얘기하고 몇 시간 뒤 중앙지검장과 검사들을 탄핵하겠다고 나섰다.
겨우 1심 무죄를 받았다고 다시 기세등등해졌다. 사실 이 대표가 첩첩산중의 사법 리스크를 모두 넘어설 가능성은 거의 없다.
이재명 대표도 이제 본인의 리스크를 민주당 리스크로 키우는 것을 이쯤에서 끝내고 당 대표에서 물러나 자연인으로서 법의 심판을 받아야 한다. 온갖 공적 직위와 권한을 사법 방탄을 위해 사유화하는 것을 중단해야 한다.
본인 스스로가 윤석열 정부 심판에 가장 큰 걸림돌이 되는 상황을 끝내야 한다. 서로 죽이려 드는 것처럼 보이지만, 사실은 서로 생명 연장 줄 역할을 하는 기묘한 관계가 이제는 청산돼야 한다.
이재명 추종자 무리를 제외한 깨어있는 양심의 세력이 깃발을 올려야 할 시기가 다가오고 있다. 오늘 새미래 민주당의 상임고문단 연석회의는 이 회의를 통해 민주진영 새 질서와 재편을 위해 지혜를 모는 첫 번째 자리이다.
