브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 그룹 레드벨벳 멤버 아이린이 오늘(26일) 첫 번째 미니앨범 ‘Like A Flower’(라이크 어 플라워)를 발매하고 솔로로 전격 데뷔한다.
소속사 SM엔터테인먼트는 26일 “아이린의 첫 솔로 앨범 ‘Like A Flower’는 오늘 오후 6시 각종 음악사이트를 통해 전곡 음원 공개되며, 유튜브 SMTOWN 채널 등에서 타이틀곡 ‘Like A Flower’의 뮤직비디오도 동시에 만날 수 있다”고 밝혔다.

- 제가 하고 싶은 이야기를 깊게 고민하면서 완성해낸 앨범이라 얼른 세상 밖으로 나왔으면 하는 마음이에요. 한편으로는 아쉬운 마음도 공존하지만 최선을 다해 준비했습니다.

- 댄서분들과의 합을 가장 신경 썼어요. 저의 퍼포먼스를 더 완성도 있게 만들어주시는 분들이기도 하지만, 같은 감정과 에너지, 생각을 가지고 서로에게 힘을 주기도 하는 하나의 팀 같은 느낌이 나길 바랐어요.
Q. 솔로 데뷔를 준비하면서 레드벨벳 멤버들이 어떻게 응원해 줬는지도 궁금하다.
- 먼저 솔로를 해본 멤버들이 대부분이라 공감을 가장 많이 해주고, 저의 고민을 많이 알아주더라고요. 참 고마웠어요. 멤버들이 솔로를 어떻게 했나 참 대단하다 생각이 들기도 했고, 한편으로는 대견하기도 했어요.
Q. 이번 앨범의 활동 계획 및 이루고 싶은 목표가 있다면 무엇인가.
- 일단 음악방송을 잘 마무리하는 것입니다. 그리고 뚜렷한 목표가 있다기보다는, 제가 가지고 나온 것들 중 무엇이라도 러비들이 살아가다가 언젠가 한번 꺼내서 볼 수 있는 것이 됐으면 좋겠다는 생각뿐이에요.

- 참 소중한 2024년인 것 같아요. 팀으로도, 솔로로도, 개인적으로도 기억에 남을 한 해 일 것 같습니다.
