브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= MG새마을금고 지역희망나눔재단은 중·장거리 이동 및 교통수단 이용의 어려움을 해소하기 위해 지역사회 맞춤형 복지서비스를 위한 특장차량을 지원한다고 26일 밝혔다.
특장차란 특정한 용도의 장비가 설치되거나 작업 수행을 위한 설비와 구조를 갖춘 자동차다. 완성된 자동차의 적재함이나 승차 장치의 구조를 변경해서 다양한 용도로 활용되는 특수차량이다.
일례로, 이동식목욕차, 이동식 빨래차, 이동식 밥차, 구급차, 장애인 및 노약자 운송을 위한 리프트 설치 차량 등이다.
MG새마을금고 지역희망나눔재단은 지역별 복지 현장에 특화된 차량을 전달해 이동식 복지서비스 인프라 구축을 지원할 예정이다.
특장차 지원사업은 올해 처음 실시되는 사업으로, 서울·경기·인천·강원 지역의 4개 복지시설에 특장차 각 1대를 지원한다. 이를 통해 사회적 약자에 대한 복지서비스 제고 및 접근성 향상을 통하여 복지 사각지대 해소에 기여할 계획이다.
김인 MG지역희망나눔재단 이사장은 “특장차 지원사업을 통해 지역사회의 어려운 이웃의 삶의 질을 향상시키고, 건강한 삶을 유지하는데 기여하고자 한다”며 “앞으로도 다양한 사회공헌활동을 통해 지속가능한 나눔을 실천하겠다”고 말했다.
