(사)한국사보협회(회장 김흥기)는 11월22일 보도자료에서 “(사)한국사보협회는 「제34회 2024 대한민국 커뮤니케이션대상」 시상식을 11월 21일 오후 3시 한국프레스센터 국제회의장에서 개최했다”고 알렸다.
이 자료에 따르면, 최고 상(賞)인 국회의장상은 경성미디어그룹 박진태 회장이 받았다. 한국국제협력단(KOICA) 외 5개 사가 문화체육관광부 장관상을, 한국산림복지진흥원 외 1개 사 고용노동부 장관상을, 사랑의 열매 사회복지공동모금회 외 16개 사가 국회 문화체육관광위원회 외 6개 국회 상위위원회 위원장 상을 각각 받았다.
해외특별상인 스티비상은 김종근 미술평론가가, 뉴욕페스티벌 상은 김상대 조각가가 각각 수상했다. 이밖에도 문화예술 부문에서 최해혁 시인이 한국문인협회장을, 양해연 시인, 이화진 서양화가가 예총 회장상을 받았다. 올해의 상 출판기획 부문은 <한국 여론조사의 대부, 박무익 평전>을 기획한 박지윤 씨가 수상했다.

(사)한국사보협회측은 “올해로 34회째인 대한민국 커뮤니케이션대상은 2023년 1년 동안 각 기업(공기업) 또는 협회, 단체, 국가기관 등에서 발행하는 인쇄 사보 및 전자사보, 방송, 社史 등 기존 부문 외 ESG 부문 등 신설 부문을 포함하여 비즈니스 저널리즘과 커뮤니케이션 등의 관련 분야 총 23개 부문과 특별상을 국내외 심사위원단 120여 명의 예선과 본선 심사를 거쳐 선정됐다.”고 밝혔다.
윤은기 심사위원장은 심사평을 통해 “인간의 역사는 창조의 역사”라며 “독창의 공덕은 참신함에 있는 것이 아니고, 진지함에 있다”라고 밝혔다. 510여 작품이 출품된 이번 커뮤니케이션대상은 평균 4.2대 1의 경쟁률을 보였고, 특히 공공사보, SNS, 광고·공익캠페인 부문에서 높은 경쟁률을 나타냈다.
