브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 현대자동차가 ‘2025년 1학기 미래모빌리티학교’ 참가 학교를 모집하고 미래 모빌리티 산업 인재 육성에 적극 나선다.
2016년부터 시작해 10년째를 맞는 ‘미래모빌리티학교’는 현대차가 민간기업 최초로 교육부와 업무협약을 체결하고 개발한 학생 주도 활동형 프로그램이다. 모빌리티 산업 발전 과정을 비롯해 자율주행, 로보틱스 등 혁신적 모빌리티 기술이 열어갈 미래를 접해볼 수 있다.
또한, 중학교 자유학기제 및 초등학교 창의적 체험활동을 지원하는 청소년 진로 교육 프로그램으로서 청소년들이 미래 모빌리티에 대한 시야를 넓히고 진로를 탐색하는 데 도움을 주기 위한 수업으로 이뤄져 있다.
현대차는 모빌리티 산업에 관한 이해를 돕는 교재와 교구재를 1~2년 주기로 개발 및 제작해 참가 학교에 제공하고 학교는 자유학기제, 창의적 체험활동, 범교과 학습 등에서 해당 자료들을 활용할 수 있다. 참가 교사에게는 온라인 연수를 제공해 직접 수업을 진행하는 데 무리가 없도록 지원한다.
참여형 교육 활동으로 교육계의 많은 관심과 호응을 받고 있는 미래모빌리티학교는 지금까지 국내 초·중등학교 및 해외 학교를 포함한 2534개 학교에서 운영됐으며, 약 10만2000명의 학생과 만나 미래 모빌리티의 꿈을 함께 키워왔다.
미래모빌리티학교는 이론 전달 위주의 전통적 수업 방식에서 벗어나 모빌리티 업사이클링 키트, 스마트시티 조감도 등 관련 교구재를 제공해 매 수업 별로 다양한 형태의 활동을 진행한다.
수업은 중학생 대상 정규 및 단기 프로그램과 초등학교 4~6학년 대상의 초등 프로그램으로 구성됐다.
중등 정규 프로그램은 ‘클린 모빌리티로 누리는 스마트시티 라이프’를 주제로 진행되며, 중등 단기 프로그램은 ‘지능형 모빌리티 중심으로의 진화’, 초등 프로그램은 ‘미래 모빌리티와 함께하는 스마트시티’를 주제로 진행된다.
특히, 2025년 1학기 중등 단기 프로그램이 개편돼 ‘지능형 모빌리티 중심으로의 진화’를 주제로 수소와 SDV 관련 내용이 새롭게 추가돼 폭넓은 분야의 수업을 만나볼 수 있다.

한편, 현대차는 국내에서 교육 프로그램을 운영하며 쌓은 신뢰와 노하우를 바탕으로 2023년부터 유네스코 아시아태평양 국제이해교육원(APCEIU)과 협업해 인도네시아·말레이시아·태국 등 아세안 국가와의 교육 교류 활성화에도 나서고 있다.
각 국가에 파견되는 국내 교사들에게 미래 모빌리티 교육 프로그램을 지원하고 친환경 모빌리티·스마트시티 등 주제별 교육 콘텐츠를 제공해 아시아 권역 국가와의 교류를 지속 확대해 나갈 방침이다.
