【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=(재)경북테크노파크(원장 하인성, 이하 경북TP)이 지원하는 ㈜티웰 농업회사법인(대표이사 김건우, 이사 ㈜티웰)이 지난 6일 중소벤처기업부의 기술창업지원 프로그램인 팁스(TIPS) 과제에 최종 선정됐다

20일 경북TP에 따르면 경북중소벤처기업부의 팁스(TIPS) 프로그램은 뛰어난 기술력과 성장 가능성을 갖춘 스타트업을 발굴해 연구개발(R&D) 자금을 제공함으로써, 혁신적인 스타트업의 성장을 지원하고 글로벌 시장에서의 경쟁력을 높이는 데 초점을 두고 있다.
㈜티웰은 전남대학교기술지주의 추천을 받아 팁스에 선정되었으며, 연구·개발(R&D)을 비롯해 해외 마케팅, 창업 사업화 등 2년간 최대 7억 원의 자금을 지원받게 되었다.
이번 팁스 과제 선정을 계기로 반려동물 헬스케어 분야에서 아토피 개선에 특화된 독창적인 바이오 소재 개발을 위한 연구와 기술 고도화에 본격 착수하게 됐다.
㈜티웰은 국내산 농산 부산물을 활용한 업사이클링 기술로 반려동물 아토피 개선을 위한 기능성 바이오 소재를 연구하고 있으며, 특히 이번 팁스 과제 지원으로 천연 유래 성분을 기반으로 반려동물 아토피 개선을 위한 솔루션 개발을 목표로 하고 있다.
㈜티웰의 김건우 대표는“국내 천연자원을 활용한 혁신적인 바이오 소재 개발을 통해 글로벌 시장에서도 경쟁력 있는 반려동물 헬스케어 제품을 선보일 계획이며, 반려인들이 겪는 아토피 문제해결에 실질적인 도움을 줄 수 있는 솔루션을 제공하는 것이 목표”라고 강조했다.

According to Gyeongbuk TP on the 20th, the TIPS program of Gyeongbuk SMEs and Startups focuses on supporting the growth of innovative startups and enhancing their competitiveness in the global market by discovering startups with outstanding technology and growth potential and providing R&D funds.
T-Well Co., Ltd. was selected for TIPS upon recommendation by Chonnam National University Technology Holdings, and will receive up to 700 million won in funding for two years, including R&D, overseas marketing, and startup commercialization.
With this TIPS project selection as an opportunity, we have begun full-scale research and technological advancement for the development of unique biomaterials specialized in improving atopy in the pet healthcare sector.
T-Well Co., Ltd. is researching functional biomaterials for improving pet atopy using upcycling technology utilizing domestic agricultural byproducts, and with this TIPS project support, we aim to develop solutions for improving pet atopy based on natural ingredients.
T-Well Co., Ltd. CEO Kim Geon-woo emphasized, “We plan to introduce competitive pet healthcare products in the global market through the development of innovative biomaterials utilizing domestic natural resources, and our goal is to provide solutions that can provide practical help in solving the atopy problem experienced by pet owners.”
Jeong Jin-hwan, head of the Gyeongbuk Technopark Enterprise Support Team, said, “We expect T-Well Co., Ltd. to greatly contribute to the development of the local startup ecosystem and the strengthening of the global competitiveness of technological innovation startups through the TIPS project selection, and we will continue to provide generous support for the growth of local innovative startups in the future.”
