현 시점에서 제일 관심을 갖는 것은 아무래도 윤 대통령과 김 여사다. 김태균은 구속되었어도 여전히 뜨거운 감자로 세간의 관심을 받고 있고 여당과 언론에선 끊임없이 이슈를 생산해내고 있다. 그리고 국민의힘 장예찬(친윤) 최고위원은 한동훈 당대표 가족이 당원 게시판에 윤 대통령을 비난하는 글들이 잔뜩 쌓여있다고 가족 드루킹이라 비꼬며 비난과 힐난을 매일 쏟아내고 있다. 게다가 이준석 의원은 외곽에서 윤 대통령이 지방선거 때 후보자 공천에 대해 강한 압력을 행사했다고 포를 쏘고 있다. (11월 6일자 칼럼 참조, 이준석, 명태균 이용해 차도살인하려는 목적은?) 일련의 사태를 유심히 보면 모두 보수 쪽 인사들이 한 틀 안에서 서로 주먹질을 하고 있는 것처럼 보인다. 가만히 보면, 우리가 잘 알고 있는 삼국지의 한 부분 이야기로, 옛 한(漢) 말에 동탁(董卓, 139년 ~ 192년)이 천자를 끼고 부패·살인·약탈·도굴·방화·축재 등 온갖 횡포를 부린 역사적 사건이 생각난다. 반동탁 동맹군이 결성되어 동탁은 크고 작은 전투에서 패퇴하면서 후한(後漢)시기 수도인 낙양을 버리고 다시 장안으로 천도한 후 그가 죽을 때까지의 역사적 장면과 일부 겹친다. 비록, 우리 역사는 아니지만 인간의 행동은 반복되듯이 눈여겨 볼만하다.
후한의 충신 왕윤은 그의 수양딸(초선)을 이용하여 연환계(連環計)를 꾸며 동탁과 여포 간 이간질을 했고, 동탁은 수양아들인 여포에 의하여 죽임을 당하였다. 그리고 왕윤은 동탁의 군대 장수였던 이각과 곽사가 투항하는 것에 악질이라며 반대했다가 두 장수는 서량군 10만 대군을 이끌고 낙양을 점령한 후 왕윤을 죽여 버렸다. 갈 곳 잃은 여포는 진공이라는 책사를 만나 이리 저리 영웅호걸에 의탁하며 떠돌다가 30대 후반 서주를 강탈하였지만, 조조와 유비에 의해 생을 마감했다. 동탁과 여포가 죽으면서 삼국지는 더 흥미진진하게 전개된다.
현재 벌어지고 있는 보수의 권력 충돌이 흡사 삼국지 초반에 진행된 동탁-왕윤-여포의 관계를 보는 듯 흥미진진하다. 동탁은 어린 천자를 폐하고 스스로 천자가 되려는 욕심을 실천하고자 했다. 천자는 민(民)의 지배자가 아니라 결정체라 봐야한다. 민의 마음을 얻지 못한들 천자가 될 수 없다. 천하를 얻으려면 민심을 얻어야 한다. 사리사욕이 넘치는 동탁과 그의 무리들은 후한 말 부패한 시기에 태어나 부패하고 오염된 물·공기·사람·교육을 만나 전염된 상태에서 정권을 탈취한 만큼 민심을 위한 마음이 생성될 수 없었다. 치세에 충신이 나고 난세에 간웅(奸雄)이 난다고 했다면, 동탁은 바로 간웅이다. 천자가 될 명분도 없이 그저 욕심이 앞섰을 뿐이다. 즉, 명분이 없으면 민심을 못 얻고, 민심을 못 얻으면 패하기 마련이다.
