필자(문일석 브레이크뉴스 발행인)는 기자생활을 하는 중에, 한국의 민주주의를 안착시킨 김영삼-김대중 대통령, 그리고 두 분의 측근들과 인연이 깊다. 그 이유는? 박정희-전두환, 두 독재자를 극렬하게 비판했던, 그 당시의 반정부(反政府) 기자였기 때문이다. '동일한 투쟁 대상인 적들은? 결과적으로 친구'라는 개념으로 설명된다.
김영삼 전 대통령(YS) 김대중 전 대통령(DJ)는 한국의 민주화를 성취해낸, 두 전직 대통령이시다. 그리고 이 분들의 측근들은 한국 민주주의를 이룩해낸 투사들이다. 나는, 두 분 진영의 측근 정치인들과 친숙했었다.

필자는 김대중 전 대통령님의 경호를 담당했던 김정기 전 청와대 수행부장(청와대 경호부장 5년)을 잘 안다. 기자로서 동교동-청와대를 왕래하면서, 오랜 기간을, 아는 분이다. 이 분은 20년간 DJ의 경호-수행을 담당, DJ와 늘 함께 했던 분이다. 나는 이 분을, 가끔씩 만나왔다.
