보수우파의 정당이라는 자칭하는 "국민의 힘"의 의원이 6.25 UN 참전국조차도 제대로 모르고 있는 것으로 드러났다. 웃기는 것은 매번 "혈맹" 주장하면서 "반공" 노선을 취하고 있는 정당이자 거기에 소속된 국회의원이 6.25 때 도와준 혈맹이 어떤 나라가 있는지를 모르고 있다는 것이다. 이자들의 기억 속에는 오로지 미국 뿐, 나머지 15개국은 있으나 마나인 국가로 생각하고 있을 것이다. 그러니 우크라이나가 6.25 참전국인지 아닌지 모르고 있는 것이다.
최근 이해찬 전 민주당 대표가 포탄 지원에 반대하며 "왜 우리가 우크라이나 전쟁에 말려 들어가야 하나. 우크라이나는 우리가 신세 질 게 아무것도 없는 나라"라고 말한 것을 국민의 힘 이채익 의원이 언급하며 "분명히 우크라이나는 6·25 참전 국가가 맞지 않나?" 라고 물었고 이해찬 전 대표의 발언에 대해 한 언론 기사는 망언이라고 표현했다. 우크라이나에 무기 지원을 하느냐 마느냐의 문제로 불거져 나온 이야기이긴 하지만 적어도 보수정당의 국회의원이라는 자가 6.25 때 참전국이 어딘지도 모르는 어이없는 일이 발생한 것이다.
그리고 "우크라이나가 6·25 참전국이냐'라고 한 질문에 대해서는 잠깐 착각을 했다"라고 했는데 이는 착각이 아니라 본인이 정말 그런 생각을 하고 있는 것 같다. 역사의식이 그 모양이니 이 전쟁 아니면 우크라이나가 어디 붙어있는지 알고나 있었을까 싶다. 우크라이나는 당시 소련이었고 6.25 당시 소련 군 수뇌부의 상당수는 우크라이나 출신이었다. 더불어 소련 서기장도 우크라이나 출신이 3명이나 배출되었고 최근에는 북한에 ICBM 기술까지 넘겨줬다. 보수라는 작자들이 이런 국가를 돕자고 나서는 것 자체가 어이가 없는 일이다. "1992년도에 우크라이나와 한국은 외교관계를 정식 수립을 하고 협력 관계를 굉장히 발전시키고 있다"고 하지만 굉장히 발전시키긴 무슨 "굉장히" 라는 거창한 표현까지 써가면서 무기 지원을 정당화하여 합리화시키려 하는지 그 이유를 알 수 없다.
한국과 우크라이나의 관계는 "굉장히"라는 표현을 쓸 정도로 깊은 관계는 아니다. 그리고 그렇게까지 많은 교류를 했던 국가도 아니고 러시아에 비해 외교관 수도 적고 지방에는 현지 공관이 오데사 1곳 밖에 없는 나라다. 그리고 우크라이나와 한국이 뭘 협력했길래 "굉장히"라는 거창한 표현을 쓸 정도가 됐는지 모르겠다.
우크라이나가 한국에 도움되는 기술, 러시아와 비교해 보면 천지차이다. 우크라이나 편드는 사람들보면 우크라이나를 한번도 가본 적 없는 자들이 99.99%인데 진짜 가서 생활해 본 나도 그렇고 전직 외교관들도 한 목소리로 도대체 이 나라에 왜 오는지 이해 안 간다고 할 정도다. 지금 국민 정서로 보면 우크라이나가 불쌍하다고 하며 러시아를 침략국으로 규정하며 악마화하고 있는데 그거 다 없애고 냉철히 우크라이나를 본다면 진짜 우크라이나는 와서 할 수 있는 것은 아무것도 없다. lukybaby7@gmail.com
