대한본국무예협회(총재 임성묵)는 11월10일 보도자료에서 “대한본국무예협회는 지난 11월 9일 동두천시 청소년수련관에서 ‘제3회 치우천황기 분국무예 대제전 왕중왕전’을 개최했다”알렸다.
이 자료에서“이 대제전은 대한본국무예협회에서 수련하는 5개 종목(상박, 검예, 사예, 지예, 다예) 중 다예를 제외한 4개 종목에 대하여 실시되었다”고 소개하고 ”지난 3개월간 각 종목별로 별도의 대회를 실시했으며, 각 종목 체급별 결승전만을 이번 대회에서 실시하여 더욱 긴장감과 박진감이 넘치는 대회가 되었다”고 설명했다.

대한본국무예협회 임성묵 총재는 “이 대회를 통하여 협회가 더 발전될 기반을 마련하였으며, 내년에는 ‘문화체육관광부 장관배’가 될 수 있도록 협회역량을 집중할 계획”임을 밝혔다.
이번 대회 축사로, 한국이 낳은 세계적인 화가인 남재 임기옥 화백과 동두천시 임현숙 시의원은 전통무예를 통하여 우리의 정체성과 전통문화에 대한 자긍심을 확립하고, 또 하나의‘K-컬쳐’로 발전할 것을 기원했다. 이날 왕중왕전 대회에서는 송내본국무예원(원장 이임선)이 종합우승을 차지했다.
