7일 청도군에 따르면 손영옥씨는 비슬산 지역에서 뛰어난 품질의 사과를 30년 이상 재배하고 있으며 각북 비슬산 사과작목반 부회장으로 활동하며 청도 명품 사과의 우수성을 널리 알리고 있다.
청도군은 현재 744호의 농가가 155ha의 사과를 재배하고 있으며 특히, 각북비슬산 사과는 비슬산의 맑고 깨끗한 물과 공기, 비옥한 토양, 일교차가큰 기후 덕분에 맛과 향이 좋고, 과육이 단단하며 당도가 높은고품질의 사과로 전국에서 인기가 높다.
