전남대 총학생회가 주관하는 올해 대동제의 주제는 <전대미·문>으로, 이전에 들어본 적이 없는 기이한 일이라는 ‘전대미문(前代未聞)’에 더해, 전남대의 아름다움(全大美)을 들리게 하겠다(聞)는 중의적 의미를 담았다.
지난 5일 개막한 축제는 대운동장에 마련된 본무대에서 첫날부터 대중가수 로이킴, 윤토벤, 하하&스컬 등이 출연해 분위기를 한껏 돋웠고, 학생과 지역민 수천 명이 한데 어우러졌다.
6일에도 대중가수 미미로즈, 마크툽, 한요한, 김나영의 공연이, 7일에는 범진, 청하, 비와이 등 학생들의 인기를 끌고 있는 대중가수들의 공연이 계속된다.
이들의 공연 이외에도 동아리 공연, 전대방송 대학가요제 등 학생들의 재기 발랄함을 드러내는 프로그램이 본 무대에서 계속 진행된다.
특히, 마지막 날에는 불꽃놀이로 축제의 대미를 장식할 예정이다.
축제 기간동안 민주마루 앞에서는 랜덤 게임과 만들기 체험, 인생네컷 등 즐길 거리가 가득 열리고, 대학본부에서 후문까지 이어지는 도로는 차량이 통제된 가운데 푸드트럭과 학생들이 직접 운영하는 음식부스가 줄지어 들어서 축제의 즐거움을 더하게 된다.
5.18광장에서는 기업 부스가 마련돼 흥겨운 분위기 속에서도 유익한 정보를 얻을 수 있도록 했으며, 거리노래방에서는 학생들의 숨겨진 끼와 실력을 맘껏 나타낼 수 있도록 했다.
