(브레이크뉴스인천 문광수 기자) 인천시 시립박물관이 오는 10월 25일 오후 1시 30분부터 5시 30분까지 인천화교중산중학교 강당에서 ‘덕흥호의 역사적 가치와 활용 방안’이라는 주제로 2024년 학술회의를 개최한다고 밝혔다.
시립박물관에 따르면, 이번 학술회의에서 소개되는 덕흥호(德興號) 건물은 1911년 이전에 건축됐으며 당시 청국 조계지에 건립된 서양식 점포 건축물이라는 점에서 희귀한 근대건축유산으로 평가받고 있다.
건물의 최초 소유주는 산동 출신이 대다수였던 인천에서는 흔치 않은 광동 출신 화상(華商) 덕흥호였다.
이들은 1884년 인천으로 이주하여 이 건물을 소유하고 1922년까지 잡화점을 운영했다.
이후 건물의 소유권은 다른 화교들을 거쳐 1990년대 해안성당으로 넘어갔고, 성당은 교육관으로 건물을 사용했다.
2022년에는 인천도시공사가 근대건축문화자산 재생 사업의 일환으로 이 건물을 매입해 올해 리모델링을 완료했다.
박물관 학술회의에서는 덕흥호 건물의 역사적, 건축적 가치를 검토하고 앞으로의 활용 방안을 논의할 예정이다.
기조 발표는 한동수(한양대학교), 1주제 발표는 강진아(한양대학교), 토론은 주희풍(인천화교협회), 2주제 발표는 김하나(이화여자대학교), 토론은 서동천(목포대학교), 3주제 발표는 이철용(인천도시공사), 토론은 이규철(건축공간연구원)이 맡았다.
주제 발표를 마친 이후에는 조상운(인천연구원)이 좌장을 맡아 종합토론을 진행한다.

또한, 인천시와 인천문화재단이 오는 10월 26일부터 11월 24일까지 5회에 걸쳐 일상 생활공간 미술 프로젝트 ‘아트·T 인천’ - ‘원데이 아트투어’를 진행한다..
재단에 따르면, ‘아트·T 인천’ - ‘원데이 아트투어’는 인천 대표 미술 명소를 방문하여 전문가의 도슨트 해설과 함께 미술품을 감상하는 프로그램이다.
