제105회 전국체육대회가 경남 양산시에서 11일부터 17일까지 7일 간 진행됐다.
대구 북구청 볼링팀(감독 이태주)은 남자 일반부 대구 대표로 출전했다.
개인전, 2인조전, 3인조전에서 아깝게 메달 획득에 실패한 볼링팀은 15일 열린 5인조전(최석병, 강명진, 오병준, 최정우, 석진환, 백승우)에서 활약하며 4,636점(평균 231.8점)이라는 기록으로 값진 은메달을 따냈다.
16일에는 마스터즈전에 출전한 강명진 선수가 2,457점(평균 245.7점)을 기록하며 국가대표 주전 선수다운 기량을 선보이며 압도적인 금메달을 따냈다.
배광식 북구청장은“전국 최고의 선수가 모두 참가하는 전국체육대회에서 우리 북구청 볼링팀이 대구를 대표해 값진 메달을 획득한 것을 축하한다”며 “앞으로도 선수들이 더 좋은 여건에서 운동에 전념할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 전했다.
