(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청동아시아국제교육원이 오는 11월까지 관내 10개 초등학교 1,641명이 참여하는 ‘2024 초등학생 세계시민한마당’을 총 10기 운영한다고 밝혔다.
인천동아시아국제교육원에 따르면, 초등학생 세계시민한마당은 인천에 대한 관심에서 출발해 지구의 다양한 문제를 인식하고 함께 해결하고자 노력하는 인천형 글로컬 인재 양성을 목적으로 다국어 역량 강화, 인천 기반, 세계시민교육이라는 세 가지 주제로 진행한다.
각 프로그램은 동아시아국제교육원 영어 원어민 보조교사, 세계시민교육 전문 강사 및 각 국가별 원어민 강사와 대면으로 4시간 동안 진행한다.
프로그램은 여러 나라 언어로 인천 소개하기, 세계 문화 체험 및 이해하기, SDGs 실천 친환경 공예 등 활동과 체험 위주의 프로그램으로 구성되었다.
또 여러 나라의 언어 및 문화 수업(영어, 중국어, 일본어, 베트남어, 러시아어 등)을 통해 세계 여러 국가 간 상호연결성을 이해하고 지역사회 이해를 기반으로 글로벌 이슈를 탐구하는 글로컬 세계시민으로 성장하는 시간을 갖는다.

Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education East Asia International Education Institute announced that it will operate the '2024 Elementary School Students World Citizen Festival' for a total of 10 sessions until November with 1,641 students from 10 elementary schools in the region participating.
