브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 장미란 문화체육관광부 제2차관이 국제올림픽위원회(IOC) 세르미앙 응 부위원장을 만나 ‘2024 파리올림픽’ 개회식 때 대한민국 선수단을 북한으로 소개한 호명 사고 등에 대한 재발 방지를 당부했다.
30일 문화체육관광부에 따르면, 장미란 차관은 29일(현지시간) 세르미앙 응 IOC 부위원장을 만나 파리올림픽 개회식 실수와 같은 일이 다시 일어나지 않도록 신경 써달라고 요청했다.
장미란 차관은 세르미앙 응 부위원장과의 면담에서 “파리올림픽 개회식에서 일어난 실수 때문에 한국 국민들의 실망이 많았다. 앞으로 이런 일이 다시 일어나지 않도록 각별히 신경을 써주길 바란다”라고 밝혔다.
세르미앙 응 부위원장은 “개회식에서의 실수에 대해 깊은 마음으로 사과를 드린다. 용서할 수 없는 실수라는 것을 알고 있으며, 절대 있어서는 안 되는 일이라는 것을 인지하고 있다. 앞으로 남은 올림픽 기간 선수 소개나 메달 수여식 등에서 절대 이런 실수가 일어나지 않도록 만전을 기하겠다”라고 답했다.
앞서 ‘2024 파리올림픽’ 개회식에서는 대한민국 선수단을 북한으로 소개하는 대형사고가 발생했다.
