태백고생대자연사박물관, 2022년 지질과학 캠프 개최

[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 태백시는 오는 12일과 13일, 14일 총 3회로 나눠 태백고생대자연박물관에서 지질과학 캠프를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

 

이번 행사는 태백의 지질과학 자원을 활용해 지질탐사를 직접 체험함으로써 과학적 탐구력을 키우고 학생들의 창의?인성을 증진시키기 위해 추진된다.

 

캠프는 초등학교 4∼6학년 및 중?고등학생 75명을 대상으로 태백고생대자연사박물관, 용연동굴, 태백체험공원, 태백석탄박물관 등 4개소 투어와 관람, 시설별 맞춤 프로그램으로 진행된다.

 

고생대 바다의 지배자 아노말로카리스 만들기, 지질학자와 함께하는 지질학 강의, 용연동굴 탐사, 46억년 지구여행 만화 그리기 등 다양한 프로그램 체험 등이 진행된다.

 

태백시 관계자는 “이번 캠프를 통해 태백만의 지질과학, 문화, 역사, 학술 콘텐츠를 제공하며 우리 고장을 바로 알리고, 참가비 1만 원은 지역상품권으로 환급해 소비 활동을 유도할 계획이다”고 말했다.

 

또한 “코로나19 방역 수칙하에 안전한 체험을 할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
