대한민국 최대 국민운동단체인 한국자유총연맹(총재 박종환, 이하 자총)이 강원도로부터 감사패를 수상했다.
한국자유총연맹측은 “박종환 총재는 4월 8일(목) 오후 4시, 서울시 중구 남산에 위치한 자유센터 접견실에서 최문순 강원도지사를 만나 2019년 속초, 고성 등 동해안 산불 피해 복구 지원과 2020년 철원 수해 복구 지원에 자총이 앞장선 것에 대한 강원도민의 마음을 담은 감사패를 전달받았다”고 알리고 “최문순 강원도지사와 강원도민은 감사패를 통해, 2019년 속초, 고성 등 동해안 산불 피해 복구 지원과 2020년 철원군 수해 복구 지원에 앞장서, 강원도민의 행복과 강원도의 무궁한 번영을 위하여 자총의 실천정신인 국리민복 정신을 구현해주신 노고에 감사하며 강원도민의 마음을 담는다”고 밝혔다고 전했다.
박종환 총재는 감사패를 받은 후 “감사패를 전달해주신 강원도민의 뜻을 마음 깊이 새기겠다”며, “앞으로도 대한민국 최대 국민운동단체인 한국자유총연맹은 국민 행복과 국가 발전을 뜻하는 국리민복 가치관을 바탕으로 봉사와 지원에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 강원도 산불 피해 및 수해 복구 지원에 앞장섰던 한국자유총연맹 강원도지부는 이외에도 2018 동계올림픽 개최를 적극 지원하여 성공을 이끈 공로로 2019년 9월 25일 대통령 단체 표창을 수상한 바 있다.

The Korea Freedom Federation (Governor Park Jong-hwan, hereafter Ja-Chong), the largest national movement organization in Korea, received a plaque of appreciation from Gangwon-do.
The Korea Freedom Federation said, “Governor Jong-Hwan Park met with Gangwon-do Governor Choi Moon-soon at the reception room at the Freedom Center located in Namsan, Jung-gu, Seoul on April 8 (Thursday) at 4pm to support the recovery of forest fires in the east coast of Sokcho and Goseong in 2019. “I received a plaque of appreciation from the people of Gangwon Province for taking the lead in the support,” he said. “Governor Choi Moon-soon and Gangwon-do residents supported the restoration of forest fires in the east coast such as Sokcho and Goseong in 2019 and supported the restoration of flood damage in Cheorwon-gun in 2020 through the plaque of appreciation. At the forefront, he said, “I am grateful for the hard work of embodying the spirit of national interest, which is the spirit of self-consolidation, for the happiness of the people of Gangwon Province and the endless prosperity of Gangwon Province.”
After receiving the plaque of appreciation, Governor Jong-Hwan Park said, “I will deeply carve the will of the people of Gangwon-do for delivering the plaque of appreciation.” I will do my best to support and support.”
Meanwhile, the Gangwon-do branch of the Korea Freedom Federation, which took the lead in supporting forest fire damage and flood recovery in Gangwon-do, also received the Presidential Group Citation on September 25, 2019 for its contribution to the success by actively supporting the hosting of the 2018 Winter Olympics.
