국민의힘 강대식 의원(대구 동구을)과 양금희 의원(대구 북구갑), 조명희 의원(비례)이 지난 20일 초선 전체 모임의 새로운 간사로 선출되면서다.
현재 국민의힘 초선 의원은 총 56명. 전체 104명의 의원 중 절반을 훌쩍 넘으면서 사실상 역동적 국회의정활동의 최전선에서 활약하고 있는 여론몰이의 중심축 역할을 맡고 있다.
이들 대구출신 의원들은 이날 윤창형, 이영 의원과 함께 초선모임의 새로운 간사로 뽑혔고 이들은 임기 6개월동안 교대로 초선 의원들의 여론창구역할을 교대로 맡을 예정이다.
당내 의원들과 소통력이 강하다는 평가를 받는 강대식 의원은 "초선의원들이 일을 열심히 할 수 있도록 분위기를 잘 조성하겠다. 초선이 해야 할 일은 무엇인지 곰곰이 생각하고 잘 받쳐주는 역할을 할 것"이라고 말했다.
여성 의원들의 중심축 역할을 톡톡히 하고 있는 양금희 의원은 "국회의원은 한 사람 한 사람이 전부 자기 나름대로의 고유한 색깔을 대표하고 있다. 그런 색과 다양성이 최대한 모일 수 있는 장을 펼치도록 노력하겠다"고 전했다.
