[Political Suggestion] The way for ¡°the power of the people¡± to lead to the ruling party

It is difficult for the opposition party to win without a single candidate for the presidential election!

-Former Congressman Lee Young-il

Personally, I wish that the 1st opposition party, the'People's Power', will advance into an authoritarian party that gives hope to our people today. Since the general election in April, the first opposition party, People's Power, has formed an emergency response committee and is pursuing new changes. However, the power of the people in the eyes of the people is not so satisfactory in terms of the people's favorability and support. They have not been able to clearly show their desperate willingness to regain authority, their ability to fight, and their vision for the future.

Of course, the Emergency Response Committee is not an authoritative struggle system. However, the power of the people now is the first opposition party with more than 100 seats in the park. The mainstream media that almost ignores and ignores all claims or voices that criticize the government are still reporting briefly any claims of the people's power. In particular, 58% of the voters who did not support President Moon Jae-in in the last presidential election are tacit but support the people's strength.

Taking advantage of these conditions, the people's power, although the emergency response committee system, should prevent the ruling party's runaway through controversy in the National Assembly, suggest better alternatives, and expand public sympathy. However, even today, half a year after the inauguration of the Emergency Response Committee, the power of the people is still far below the expectations of the people.

Evaluation of the performance of the Emergency Response Committee

Until now, Kim Jong-in's Emergency Response Committee (Emergency Countermeasure Committee) has pushed forward two major measures to collect and implement the public's demand for rebirth as an authoritarian party. One apologized in front of the people for the political failure of the two former presidents who had been entrusted to power by the people and declared that the party would start anew by liquidating their legacy. The party name was changed to the power of the people in the Future Integration Party. In particular, on May 27 last year, CEO Jong-in Kim's urging not to be tied to expressions such as conservatives and free-rights can be seen as an expression of his will to change the party. Second, the new direction of the party's management proposed by the Emergency Countermeasures Committee established and announced the so-called three-way line, which has been neglected by conservative right-wing parties in Korea. The three-companion route is the content. First, the people's power is to become a party that accompanies young people, thereby changing the party's constitution. Second, by becoming a party that actively supports the economically underprivileged, the structure of income inequality will be reformed and the benefits of economic development will be distributed evenly. Third, we will walk the path of a party that embraces, understands, and accompanies Honam.

While the power of the people devoted such efforts to internal reorganization, the ¡°Democratic Party¡± (hereinafter referred to as the ¡°Joint-Democratic Party¡±) unilaterally pushed for legislation necessary for dictatorship long-term power with a number of seats obtained in the general election as a weapon. They are all evil laws that trample and shake the basic order of liberal democracy. In addition to the revision of the National Intelligence Service Act, the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Office Act, the North Korea Leaflet Prohibition Act, the 5.18 Aggravated Punishment Act, the 4.3 Special Act Amendment, and the Fair Economy 3 Act that regulates companies have been legislated or are being implemented. In addition, the Basic Housing Act (1 house for 1 household), shopping malls We are in a hurry to legislate such as the Lease Protection Act (forced loss of renters), the Public Officials Ethics Act amendment (prohibition of public officials from holding multiple houses), the Labor Standards Act amendment (expanding the scope of application), the Prosecutors' Office Act, and the revised bill of the Court Organization Act (to prevent running for Yoon Seok-yeol).

The people's strength had to fight fiercely to stop the anti-democratic evil law while standing up against a number of tyranny with a controversy, even if there was no power to block the passage of unconstitutional evil law in the hospital. Had it been shown, the people's strength would have gained the support and sympathy of the people and built up trust as an alternative force. However, the struggle was too meager and greatly discouraged and frustrated the people who sent their expectations and support.

The position of the 1st opposition party is shaking.

How is the power of the people evaluated today by the people who are frustrated by the Moon Jae-in regime and have high expectations for a regime change? There are some who support the power of the people as the only alternative force, and there are also a few who positively evaluate the attitude of struggling with self-reform to dismiss the image created by the Democratic Party's bad propaganda. However, contrary to this, there are some people who criticize it as "the democratic second company." It is said that the slogan of the three accompaniment of the people's power, namely, youth, economic weakness, and inclusion in Honam, has already been preoccupied by the Democratic Party and cannot be a new line that is distinct from the Democratic Party. Some say that even in the field of diplomatic and security, they would have come up with a line of four companions rather than three, saying that they would have established their own aspect. Of course, the power of the people has always emphasized the importance of the ROK-US alliance, but voices claim that this is something that should be emphasized deliberately in a situation where the ROK-US alliance is greatly shaken.

Even if the opposition parties in the past failed to prevent the passage of a law restricting the human rights and freedoms of the people due to lack of seats, the public said that they were the political parties that stood directly on the side of the people, burning the will of authority through fierce and fierce struggles. Deeply planted in the mind of However, under today's emergency response committee system, it is unreasonable to expect the struggle of the death decision that Kim Young-sam and Kim Dae-jung had seen in the past, and such a struggle will be a task after the National Assembly. For this reason, the power of the people today is not able to continue the absolute support, trust, and charisma as the dominant force of the free-right conservatives enjoyed by the Democratic Party and the Saenuri Party in the past.

The public apology for the political failure of the former presidents is also correct when viewed from the standpoint of the party's commitment to innovation and a new start. However, in the past four years, the Moon Jae-in regime has not failed or has no achievements in every work it does in both internal affairs and diplomacy. Inter-Korean relations, which had been boasting of good performances, only succeeded in a plausible show, but the result ended with the explosion of the inter-Korean liaison office. How many people sympathize with this situation when condemning former presidents with more achievements than wrongdoings than President Moon Jae-in as failed presidents and apologizing to the public?

For the past four years, the forces that have voluntarily fought counter-munition in the Gwanghwamun area every weekend turn their backs on the Emergency Response Committee and make a move to promote a third party. In order for the people's strength to overcome this negative evaluation and become a beloved opposition party, the answer will eventually be to win by unifying the opposition party candidate in the next April by-election.

my suggestion

1. It is difficult to win the opposition without a single candidate

In order for the people's power to become a political party and become the authoritarian party that the people expect in the future, I urge that a national convention is held as soon as possible to end the emergency response committee system and urgently elect a leader who will lead the next presidential election through an all-out struggle.

However, when keeping in mind the promise with the people, the emergency response committee system still has an important task to be done. In the by-election of mayors in Seoul and Busan, which will be held prior to the next presidential election, it is necessary to unify the opposition party candidates to create conditions for victory. The people are expecting to create a unified opposition party candidate led by the People's Strength Emergency Response Committee. In addition, the Mayor of Seoul and the Mayor of Busan, elected by the Democratic Party, caused enormous losses to the national treasury as both of them were unable to fill their terms of office due to sexual crimes, and were forced to hold a by-election. The Democratic Party stated in the Party Constitution that it would not issue a candidate if the by-election was held due to the offense of the self-party candidate, and the Dong-A-Democratic Party cannot issue a candidate as long as President Moon himself pledged to implement it before the people. . If the Democratic Party of Korea changes its constitution and gives a candidate, the people are right to punish. However, in the political climate of Korea today, it is difficult to expect such a punishment unless the opposition party candidates are unified. Just because the people's power is somewhat ahead of the Democratic Party in a poll does not necessarily guarantee election victory. The experience of recent elections tells us that it is difficult for the opposition party to win without a single candidate.

2. Why should the power of the people lead the unification?

First of all, in the case of Seoul, in the case of Seoul, the Democratic Party, out of 25 mayoral heads, occupies 24 mayoral heads, and the Participating Self-Government Council recommended by the Democratic Party is organized in Yin and Yang, and enthusiasm members of the Democratic Party are in charge. . This is why the opposition party is difficult to lead the ruling party in its organization, funding, and mobilization capabilities.

Aside from the disadvantage of this situation, the Democratic Party is under the control of the Citizens' Association for Democratic Press (Min-eonryeon), which supports the ruling party, and the members of the Election Commission, which are non-elected public officials, are also under the control of the Democratic Press Citizens' Union, which supports the ruling party. It is a situation where they have a good edge. Doesn't it say that the victory of the vote is more important now than the victory of the vote? Therefore, if the opposition party's candidates are scattered and a by-election is held, the result can be completely defeated, as it did three years ago.

Currently, it is difficult for the opposition party to win the organization. The opposition party must draw support through propaganda, but to put more weight on propaganda, major media treat this edition as news of interest when the people's power, the first opposition party in the park, carries the banner of unification of the mayoral candidate. Also, when media reports are properly reported, the public's sympathy and participation can be aroused and the performance effect targeted by the unified political process can be maximized.

3. Composition of the Candidate Unification Promotion Committee

In order for the people's power to overcome these disadvantages and win the election, the next three stages of unification of candidates that the whole people are interested in must unfold.

First of all, the first step

⓵The Power of the People's Forces Emergency Response Committee must elect a party candidate to run for the mayor of Seoul and Busan through a fair internal race.

⓶ It is necessary to propose the formation of an opposition party unification promotion committee in which political parties and civic groups that will be candidates for the mayor participate.

⓷ When the committee is formed of political parties and civic groups that have responded to this proposal, the Emergency Response Committee shall appoint a chairman to lead the committee and appoint members from various fields to judge candidates for mayor under the responsibility of the chairperson.

¨ê Political personnel (former political elders (among members of the Constitutional Council), small and medium-sized business groups, college students, workers, educators (professors, teachers, etc.), religious circles (priests, priests, monks, etc.), female representatives (groups, housewives, etc.) You have to select people.

¨ë Each candidate should present his or her opinion in front of 500 judges (10 minutes each), and each candidate should give 10 minutes a supportive speech that amplifies the candidate's career or strength through a supporting speaker recommended by the candidate.

¨ì After this procedure is completed, three members are elected by secret ballot by 500 members, and the remaining candidates are cut off from the target.

In the second step, the three elected candidates are tested for 15 minutes for each candidate through a Q&A format. The three candidates who have completed the verification process go through a procedure for collecting citizen opinions through an accredited public opinion polling agency. The candidates up to the second place in the polls are elected, and from the two elected candidates, the overall meeting of the judging committee decides to finally select one candidate through secret ballot anonymously.

In the third step, those who participated in the unification promotion meeting, both groups and individuals, join the party as party members at the power of the people, and participate in the unification of opposition parties.

Expected effect

Now, the people are hoping to create a unified candidate for the opposition no matter what the cost of the people's strength. If the people's power confronts the people's sentiment to protect their vested interests or ignores the people's aspirations, it will be difficult to win all future elections. It is not a politics that simply caters to the sentiment of the people, but a politics that resonates with the people to be loved by the people. If the power of the people does not create the stage for such unity, the candidates of Jacheon Tacheon will run for the election and benefit the Democratic Party together. Rather than apologizing for the political failure of the former president, it becomes a party that gains sympathy from the people when it becomes the power of the people to achieve the unification of the opposition party candidate, and becomes a party that is rooted in the support of the people. Even if this process is difficult, if a single candidate for the opposition party is created, the people's power will eventually be changed to the Saenuri Party, the Liberal Korean Party, and the Future Unified Party. In addition, it will emerge as a pan-national authoritarian party.
