충남 부여군민들이 국가를 위해 희생하고 헌신한 호국영웅들을 최고의 예우로 모시기 위한 ‘국립부여호국원’ 유치에 한뜻으로 결집했다.
국립부여호국원 유치위원회와 관내 보훈단체는 지난 1일 부여유스호스텔 체육관에서 열린 ‘군민의 날’ 행사장에서 군민 700여 명이 참석한 가운데 국립호국원 부여 유치 결의대회를 성황리에 개최했다.
이번 결의대회는 관 주도를 벗어나 민간유치위원회와 보훈가족, 지역 주민들이 자발적으로 뜻을 모아 범군민적 유치 열기를 결집했다는 점에서 각별한 의미를 지닌다. 행사에서는 유치위원회 사무국장이 주민 대표로 단상에 올라 결의문을 낭독했으며, 참석자들은 호국원 유치를 염원하는 구호를 제창하며 확고한 추진 의지를 다졌다.
참석자들은 결의문을 통해 보훈영령의 숭고한 나라사랑 정신을 미래세대에 온전히 계승하고 유가족의 긍지를 높일 수 있도록 국립호국원의 부여 조성을 전폭적으로 지지한다고 선언했다.
