충남 논산시가 시민 체감형 성과 창출과 미래 성장동력 확보를 위해 주요 현안사업 점검 및 신규 시책 구상에 나섰다.
논산시는 14일 시청 회의실에서 백성현 시장을 비롯해 부시장, 국·소장, 실·과·소장, 읍·면·동장 등 간부 공무원들이 참석한 가운데 ‘2026년 주요업무 추진상황 및 2027년 시책구상 보고회’를 개최했다. 이번 보고회는 진행 중인 핵심 사업들의 완성도를 높이고, 새롭게 발굴한 아이디어를 실효성 있는 정책으로 다듬기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 회의에서 시는 사업별 진행 경과를 다각도로 평가했다. 우수한 성과를 낸 사업은 더욱 확장하고, 차질을 빚는 현안은 원인 분석을 통해 실질적인 해결책을 모색했다. 2027년 신규 시책에 대해서는 사업의 타당성과 실행 가능성, 기존 정책과의 연계 시너지 등을 집중 심의했다.
주요 아젠다로는 2027 논산세계딸기산업엑스포 성공 개최 및 농식품 수출 다변화, 국방국가산업단지 기반의 국방산업 육성, 지역 인프라 확충 및 관광 자원화, 청년·가족 정착 지원과 복지망 강화 등 지역 미래를 좌우할 핵심 과제들이 다뤄졌다. 시는 부서 간 장벽을 없애고 유기적인 협업체계를 구축해 정책 효과를 극대화할 방침이다.
백성현 논산시장은 “그동안 쌓아온 변화의 흐름을 더 큰 결실로 이어가야 할 시점”이라며 “모든 사업은 왜 필요하고 시민에게 어떤 가치를 주는지에 대한 고민이 우선되어야 한다”고 강조했다. 이어 “부서 간 협력을 바탕으로 논산의 잠재력을 극대화해 시민이 삶의 현장에서 직관적인 변화를 느낄 수 있도록 행정력을 집중해 달라”고 주문했다.
논산시는 이번 보고회에서 도출된 개선안과 신규 과제들을 2027년도 본예산안 및 세부 실행계획에 적극 반영해 사업 추진에 속도를 낼 계획이다.
