브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 수협중앙회는 18일 제1차 임시총회를 열고 자체 어업용 면세유 보조금 지원을 위한 추가경정예산안을 의결했다고 밝혔다.
지원 대상은 올해 4월부터 9월까지 경유, 휘발유, 중유, LPG 등 어업용 면세유를 공급받은 어업인이다. 지난해 같은 기간 약 4만 명이 면세유를 구매한 점을 고려하면 비슷한 규모의 어업인이 혜택을 받을 것으로 예상된다.
수협은 우선 어업인 1인당 10만 원씩 총 40억 원 규모의 현금을 지원할 계획이다.
이와 함께 어업용 면세유 실제 사용량에 비례해 드럼(200리터)당 약 2600원의 보조금을 지급한다. 해당 지원 규모는 총 60억 원이다.
노동진 수협중앙회장은 "정부의 어업용 면세유 지원 정책에 더해 수협의 자체 지원이 이뤄지면 어업인들의 유류비 부담 완화에 도움이 될 것"이라며 "국제유가 동향을 면밀히 점검하면서 유류비 부담으로 조업을 포기하는 일이 없도록 추가 지원 방안도 지속적으로 마련하겠다"고 말했다.
한편 어업용 면세유는 2차 최고가격제 적용 대상에 포함되면서 지난 4월 공급가격이 드럼당 34만1800원에서 27만6180원으로 인하됐다.
현재 수협은 정부 추가경정예산에 따라 어업용 면세유 경유를 대상으로 기준가격인 드럼당 21만4000원을 초과하는 금액의 70%를 지원하고 있으며, 지원 한도는 드럼당 최대 3만5240원이다.
