[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 사천시가 우주항공국가산업단지 활성화와 기업 유치 확대를 위해 투자기업 지원에 속도를 내고 있다.
박동식 사천시장은 9일 우주항공국가산업단지 사천지구에 입주한 항공부품 전문기업 리더인항공㈜을 방문해 공장 가동을 축하하고 기업 관계자들과 현장 간담회를 가졌다.
이번 방문은 우주항공산업을 미래 성장동력으로 육성하기 위한 현장 중심 기업지원 행정의 일환으로 마련됐다.
리더인항공은 지난해 입주한 두원중공업에 이어 우주항공국가산단 사천지구에 입주한 두 번째 기업이다. 특히 항공기업으로는 첫 입주 사례이자 사천시의 국가산단 투자 인센티브를 처음 지원받는 기업이라는 점에서 의미를 갖는다.
사천시는 리더인항공에 총 3억2,900만 원 규모의 입지보조금 지원을 결정했다. 이는 국가산단 투자기업을 대상으로 시행 중인 맞춤형 투자지원 정책의 첫 적용 사례다.
현재 사천시는 국가산단 입주기업에 대해 부지 매입비의 15% 범위 내에서 최대 10억 원의 입지보조금을 지원하고 있으며, 기계장비 구입비의 5% 이내에서 최대 5억 원까지 지원하는 인센티브 제도를 운영하고 있다.
이날 박 시장은 생산 현황과 기업 운영 과정에서 겪는 애로사항을 청취하고 투자환경 개선 방안과 국가산단 활성화 대책에 대해 의견을 나눴다.
박 시장은 “지역경제 활성화와 양질의 일자리 창출을 위해 기업 투자 확대가 무엇보다 중요하다”며 “기업이 안정적으로 투자하고 성장할 수 있도록 행정 지원과 재정 인센티브를 지속 강화하겠다”고 말했다.
이어 “우주항공국가산단을 중심으로 항공정비(MRO), 항공부품, 위성·발사체 분야 기업 집적화를 추진해 대한민국 대표 우주항공산업 거점도시로 성장시켜 나가겠다”고 강조했다.
2012년 ‘수테크’로 출발한 리더인항공은 2023년 법인 전환 이후 항공부품 전문기업으로 사업 영역을 확대했다. 현재 KF-21, C-130, KHP, KT-1, T-50 등 군용 항공기 부품을 생산하고 있으며 AS9100 인증과 기술특허 3건을 보유하고 있다.
회사는 지난해 우주항공국가산단 내 5,231㎡ 부지에 공장을 신축하고 지난 5월부터 본격적인 생산에 들어갔다. 5축 가공기(MCT), 라우터, 3차원 측정기(CMM) 등 첨단 장비 12대를 구축해 정밀 항공부품 생산 역량을 강화했다.
