군은 오는 7월 10일까지 ‘2027년 유기질비료 지원사업’ 신청을 접수한다고 밝혔다. 이번 사업은 농림축산 부산물의 자원순환을 촉진하고 토양 환경을 개선해 지속가능한 농업 기반을 마련하기 위한 것으로, 농산물 생산에 필요한 유기질비료 구입 비용 일부를 지원한다.
신청 대상은 농업경영체 등록을 완료한 농업인이다. 농지 소재지 관할 읍·면사무소 방문 또는 온라인을 통해 신청할 수 있으며, 개정된 사업지침에 따라 온라인 접수는 6월 10일까지, 방문 접수는 7월 10일까지 진행된다.
지원 품목은 혼합유박, 혼합유기질, 유기복합비료 등 유기질비료 3종과 가축분퇴비, 퇴비 등 부숙유기질비료 2종이다. 지역농협이나 엽연초생산협동조합을 통해 구입하는 경우 포대당 일정 금액의 보조금을 지원받을 수 있다.
군은 최근 농자재 가격 상승과 생산비 증가로 어려움을 겪는 농업인들의 경영 부담을 줄이는 동시에 화학비료 사용 절감과 토양 건강성 회복에도 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다. 또한 신청기간 변경에 따른 혼선을 줄이기 위해 읍·면별 홍보 활동과 신청 안내를 강화할 계획이다.
이와 함께 영양고추유통공사는 6월 4일부터 16일까지 지역 고추 재배농가를 대상으로 2026년산 홍고추 수매약정 체결에 나선다.
올해 수매약정 물량은 5천500톤으로 지난해보다 500톤 늘어났다. 수매약정 사업은 농가와 유통공사가 사전에 계약을 맺고 수확기에 홍고추를 매입하는 방식으로 운영되며, 가격 변동 위험을 줄이고 안정적인 판로를 확보할 수 있다는 점에서 농가들의 호응을 얻고 있다.
약정 대상은 지난 3월 홍고추 계약재배를 신청한 1천75농가이며, 미신청 농가는 이번 계약 대상에서 제외된다.
수매단가는 출하장려금 300원을 포함해 특등(수) ㎏당 2천750원, 특등(우) ㎏당 2천550원으로 결정됐다. 수매는 오는 8~9월 실시될 예정이며, 계약가격은 고정가격 방식으로 운영된다. 아울러 사업 추진 과정에서 적정 이윤을 초과하는 수익이 발생할 경우 농가에 환원할 방침이다.
오도창 영양군수는 “유기질비료 지원사업과 홍고추 수매약정 사업은 농가 경영안정과 소득 증대에 실질적인 도움이 되는 정책”이라며 “농업인들이 안정적으로 영농에 전념할 수 있도록 생산비 절감과 판로 확대를 위한 지원을 지속적으로 추진하겠다”고 말했다.

This program aims to establish a foundation for sustainable agriculture by promoting the resource circulation of agricultural and livestock by-products and improving the soil environment; it provides partial support for the purchase costs of organic fertilizers necessary for agricultural production.
Eligible applicants are farmers who have completed registration as an agricultural business entity. Applications can be submitted by visiting the relevant Eup or Myeon office where the farmland is located or online. In accordance with the revised program guidelines, online applications will be accepted until June 10, and in-person applications until July 10. The supported items include three types of organic fertilizers—mixed oilseed meal, mixed organic fertilizer, and organic compound fertilizer—and two types of matured organic fertilizers—livestock manure compost and compost. Farmers who purchase these through local agricultural cooperatives or leaf tobacco production cooperatives can receive a subsidy of a certain amount per bag.
The county expects this initiative to help alleviate the financial burden on farmers struggling with recent increases in agricultural material prices and production costs, while also contributing to reduced use of chemical fertilizers and the restoration of soil health. The purchase unit price has been set at 2,750 won per kg for Premium Grade (Superior) and 2,550 won per kg for Premium Grade (Excellent), including a shipment incentive of 300 won. Purchases are scheduled to take place in August and September, and the contract prices will be operated on a fixed-price basis. Furthermore, the plan is to return any profits exceeding a reasonable profit margin to the farmers if they are generated during the course of the program.
Yeongyang County Governor O Do-chang stated, “The organic fertilizer support program and the red chili pepper purchase agreement program are policies that provide substantial assistance to farm management stability and income growth,” adding, “We will continue to provide support to reduce production costs and expand sales channels so that farmers can stably focus on farming.”
